How do you go about finding A Great Horse Trainer for you and your horse?

Word of mouth is good, wonderful in fact.  But what if the people you know don't know of one particularly Tremendous Trainer that is available in this area.

There are lots of people that "say" they are a horse trainer. What are their qualifications?
Do they have any proof of being a successful trainer?
Do any of the trainers students show in horse shows and do well?
Can you go and "watch" the trainer give a lesson so you can see for your self?

Any great horse trainer should be happy to let you come and observe what they are doing with the horses they are training and the students they are working with.
